



If you would like to enter in this years Carnival parade then all you need to do is complete the parade entry form. We hope that this year's Carnival will be every bit as successful as 2009. The theme we have chosen is 'Our Amazing Planet' which once again I'm sure you will agree will provide a lot of scope for the children.
The floats will this year be in four classes
As in previous years, individual certificates will be presented to the best float/tableau from each class. Please inform your insurance company in respect of using a float or motorised vehicle, as insurance details will be required by the parade co-ordinator prior to the carnival.
It would be useful to us if you would give us a contact name, address, e-mail address and telephone number. Please supply the name of the person responsible for overall co-ordination of your float/tableaux. We will only communicate directly with this person upon receipt of this information.
Parade entries will be judged as they pass by our judge's bus and the winners will be notified on the way down to the field.
The start time this year will be 11.30am. It will be necessary, therefore for you to assemble at the Memorial Gardens at the end of the Grove at 10.45am.
Could we also point out that if a vehicle is being used the owner must inform the vehicle's insurer, giving them full details of the day. Once again may I remind you that there is a limitation on the transport you may wish to use in the parade - please read the information on limit of vehicle length.
Further details will become available regarding parade positions and timetable of events nearer the carnival day. If you have registered your entry in the parade you will be emailed/posted your parade position by mid-April.
